WHAT TO
BRING?

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Choose a package
  • 01.CLOTHING2 thermal or warm layers for the upper and lower part of your body, merino or wool socks, and hiking boots/shoes.
  • 02.BACKPACKThings you need to pack: water, food, clothing, and any personal item you want to bring with you. A 35lt backpack should be enough.
  • 03.WATERWe recommend to bring 3 liters of water with you, specially if you are taking the overnight tours. There is no water available on the way up or at our basecamp.

For more information and details regarding our tours and how we operate please contact us via What’sApp. We run our tours every day! Our sunrise, sunset and overnight tours run Monday to Thursday, and our hiking tour runs every day. Every booking is made via WhatsApp once availability is confirmed and is secured with a deposit. The balance is paid on the day of the tour.

GOOD TO KNOW

How we handle bookings and what we ask of every hiker.

Bookings & payments

  • All bookings are made through our WhatsApp after checking availability.
  • Bookings are secured with a deposit and must be paid in full on the day of the tour.
  • Pending balances are paid at our office before the ascent, in cash or through the payment link on our website (10% surcharge). You can also leave your luggage and rent gear there.
  • We accept quetzales and US dollars. $5, $10 and $20 bills are taken at Q7.00 per dollar. Damaged bills are not accepted.
  • Please reconfirm your booking 1 day before the tour, and let us know in advance about any change or extra service.
  • Tours cannot be booked outside the schedules authorized by the estate, except the hiking tour.

Refunds & cancellations

  • Full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the tour. No-shows and same-day cancellations are charged a percentage of the booking.
  • We may cancel because of weather, irregular volcanic activity, not reaching the minimum number of passengers, or orders from the estate or the authorities (these last two are rare and may happen on the same day).
  • If we cancel, we let you know as soon as possible and refund your full deposit or reschedule your tour.

Before you go

  • Every participant travels at their own risk and signs a liability waiver at the private estate before the ascent.
  • Bring a photo of your passport (or DPI for Guatemalans). No other documents are accepted.
  • Be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes early: we have limited time to load the vehicles.
  • Tell us in advance about any health condition or dietary need. Height and build matter for comfort and space inside the vehicles.
  • We are not responsible for lost items. Keep your belongings in sight at all times.

General conditions

  • On collective tours passengers ride in the back of the vehicle as they board. A cabin seat is only offered for special conditions (mainly health) requested in advance, or guaranteed for Q500 / US$70 extra.
  • We reserve the right of admission to anyone whose behavior puts the safety or experience of the group at risk.
  • We may use photos and videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes.
  • Additional services not listed here can be arranged if requested in advance.
  • We may adjust schedules and routes because of estate restrictions, weather, large events or operational reasons, always offering a suitable alternative.
  • By booking with us you accept these terms and conditions.
